A little return system keeps library and borrowed books easy to find when they need to go back.

Mark the due date
Put the library due date or lending agreement in your calendar when the book comes home. Keep the reminder where you already manage other commitments.
Give borrowed books one shelf
Separate them from books you own. A dedicated spot prevents accidental shelving and makes an upcoming return visible.
Prepare the exit
When you finish, place the book by the bag you will use for the return. Check the lending service's renewal and return options before a due date passes.
Can I keep a borrowed book by the bed?
Yes, while reading it. Return it to the designated spot when you finish so it is not lost among your own books.
